Create, Complete and Assign Activities


To Create and Complete an Activity

  1. From the Action Board Click on Add activity
  2. Choose the activity you want to create and create it, complete it and or assign it
  3. Choose the contact the activity is for
  4. Choose the current or previous date the activity was completed and update the status to complete
  5. Update notes/call script related to the activity and tie to a campaign and/or appeal
    1. Note: Any time you choose a Send Email activity, you are crafting an email and sending/completing it as you create the activity 

Letters and Emails 

  1. From the Action Board Click on Add activity
  2. Create and close a letter or email activity that has already been completed 
    1. Here are some scenarios in which you may do this:
      1. When you've sent a hand written card to a donor
      2. Sent an email from your personal inbox an hadn't tracked it

    Letters and Emails - Using a template

  1. From the Action Board Click on Add activity
  2. Create and close a letter or email activity that has already been completed 
  3. Choose the Send Email or Letter activity
  4. Enable the toggle Use a Template
  5. Choose the Template you want to use for email or letter
  6. For Letters
    1. You can choose Complete or keep the Status Incomplete
    2. Once you click on Create and Save you will be given the option to download and print as a PDF or a Word Document
    3. You can always download and print later or update the activity status by accessing the letter activity in the contact record





To Assign an activity

  1. From the Action Board Click on Add activity
  2. Create and close a letter or email activity that has already been completed 
  3. Choose the contact the activity is for
  4. Choose an owner (other user in the system) you want to create the activity for
  5. Choose a due date
  6. Update notes/call script related to the activity and tie to a campaign and/or appeal
    1. Note: You can choose to the Send Email activity and send from another owner, but the email will be sent as soon as you create and save.
