To export your data from eTapestry you will use the Query and Report functions. These instructions will focus on exporting Accounts and Journals. Accounts are your donors and contacts and Journals are your gifts.
Accounts
Start by creating a new "Query":
- Select "Base" as the category. Choose "All Accounts" as the query.
- Ensure that "Accounts" is selected as the data to return.
- To capture all contacts. set the criteria to "Account Created Date > Custom Range" and enter a date range that includes the entire time you have used eTapestry.
- Save your query, and create a new report with the following fields:
- Account Number
- First Name
- Last Name
- Organization Name
- Persona Type
- Short Salutation
- Long Salutation
- Address
- City
- State
- Postal Code
- Phone - Fax
- Phone - Mobile
- Phone - Pager
- Phone - Voice
- Select ‘Save’ and run your report with the query you selected.
- Download the data as an Excel file (CSV).
Journal
Start by creating a new "Query":
- Select "Base" as the category Choose "All Journal Entries" as the query.
- Ensure that "Journal Entries" is selected as the data to return.
- To capture all gifts, set the criteria to "Journal Entry Date > Custom Range", and enter a range that includes the entire time you have used eTapestry.
- Save your query, and create a new report with the following fields:
- Account Number
- Date
- Received
- Fund
- Approach
- Campaign
- Gift Type
- GL Amount
- Check Number
- Credit Card Type
- Note
- Select ‘Save’ and run the report with the query you selected.
- Download the data as an Excel file (CSV)
After exporting your data, use the DonorDock import tool to import your data into DonorDock.
